No "run-as" option

Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP2 When trying to invoke the
run as from adminstative tools shortcut...there is no run
as option after the right click...anyone know why and how
to fix it?

There never was one - it's only available for the applets
one level below.

Make sure the "RunAs Service" is "Enabled" and "Started".

Services
RunAs Service

Hold down the shift key and right-click the program/file.

If necessary, left-click the program/file one time first,
then; hold down the shift key and right-click.
