No right click menu on desktop:

When I right click on the desktop I get nothing, no menu. Also my Icons are transparent, which I could change If I had a right click menu on the desktop. Please help, I can't afford 275 for a MS call! Thanks.

Hi Ray,
If you do not want transparent icons on desktop, right click on My Computer
and select Properties. Flip to the advanced tab
and click on settings under Performance. Scroll down the list of visual
effects and remove the check next to "Use drop shadows for icon labels on
desktop". OK your way out.

Delete NoViewContextMenu from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer if you don't have a context menu in any folder window (desktop is just a fixed size folder window)
