Hi

I can not open my database without getting a "no read permission on
msysaccessobjects" I have searched groups as well as the internet in
general for solutions. Most point to buying an expensive program for data
recovery or uploading the database for them to fix it. I can not upload the
database it has sensitive information. I have tried importing the database
into another to no avail. I have used Jetcomp to no avail and I am at wits
end. I understand according to what I have read that the msysaccessobjects
flag was set and the database was probably not closed properly. Is there a
way with a hex editor to find that flag and un set it? Or is there
another way that I have not found yet that can solve this problem.

Program was designed using access 2000 with a win 98 se OS
It is being used on MS acess 2002 with an XP OS

I appreciate the response. As I said before the data is sensitive. I was
hoping to find an easier way. I even tried a more labor intensive fix by
comparing a copy of the database that was a month old to this database with
a hex editor. It did manage to get past the initial error message but it hit
another one. The lesson I learned is to back the data up frequently as well
as doing compact and repairs often.
