"no modify design permission"

Person who ran the database is gone. When I try to open it, I get "could not
create; no modify design permission for table or query 'MSysAccessObjects'."

I've tried looking on MS site with no success.

Anyone have any ideas?

At times like this, nothing beats a good backup. In fact make a complete
backup of your database now and put it away for safe keeping.

I'm thinking that it is a corruption issue.

Tony Toews has an excellent web page on database corruption.
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm

Allen Brown also has excellent info on corruption.

I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database
towards the bottom this page:

Thank you. I will check them out. I'm thinking that the user that has left
associated the DB with a group or *.mdw. Again, thank you for your
assistance. I actually have four different copies of it now. One to kill and
practice on and the other three just in case. LOL.
