no Product Key

I bought Microsoft Home Edition along with a case,
motherboard, CPU, 2 HDD, Vidio card, etc. The software
came as two CDs: a Windows XP Home Edition, and a Windows
XP OEM Preinstallation Kit. I have written to Newegg.com
where I bought the software (and most of the hardware) to
find out how I can get the Product Key, but I've had no
reply yet. Is there a procedure I can use if I don't hear
from them in a reasonable period of time? I have been
working on the system for a week now and am getting
anxious to get it working.

Thank you for any help.

Isn't the product key on a small sticker on the cellophane wrapper of the
CDs?

Since the software is OEM, then only NEWEGG will be able to help you. MS
considers this as OEM software and you are to get support from where you
bought it.

Greetings --

The Product Key should have come with the WinXP Home Edition. It
should be somewhere on the CD's packaging on a bright orange sticker
that says "Do not lose this number." If it is an OEM license, only
the vendor can provide the Product Key.

No, the sticker wasn't on the wrapper nor was it stuck
anywhere that I can find it. Seems all of my eggs are at
NewEgg, here's hoping that they get around to answering me.

I'm currently writting from an old Win98 system. The new
system that I built sits awaiting the Key entry. I have
both disks mentioned befor and one of my hopes was that
the key was on the OEM Preinstallation Kit Disk. What is
this disk for anyway?

It *may* be to run to put the basic system on, and as such *may* handle
the setting up in a way that includes activation. So it would be worth
seeing what happens if you boot it.

The key (25 characters in groups of five) should be on a sticker stuck
to one of the CD cases, or to a card in the documents. As you bought a
case they *may* have stuck it on the outside of that, where it would be
placed if they sold a complete installed system
