Hi Robbins,

The Adobe Reader for PDF files is not included in Windows Vista. You need to
download it directly from their website, link given below. Click on 'Get
ADOBE READER' and follow the instructions.

Same place as all windows variants.. www.adobe.com the people that created
the pdf format.
Click on the get adobe reader button and follow the steps.
Make sure you read what is said or you will end up with other possibly
unwanted software (not spyware or adware).

Thank you for being so short sighted and understanding. I have already
downloaded and updated all of my Adobe programs. Now if you have a diffrent
solution than downloads and updates I will get up enough energy to respond to
you again.

Foxit Reader is a free PDF document viewer and printer, with incredible small size (only 2.1 M
download size), breezing-fast launch speed and rich feature set. Foxit Reader supports Windows
98/Me/2000/XP/2003/Vista. Its core function is compatible with PDF Standard 1.7.

Here is the reply I left for you in the other thread you started:
Make sure the Adobe Reader ActiveX is not disabled:
IE7: Tools > Internet Options > Programs tab > Manage add-ons

Also make sure Adobe Reader is set to be the default program for
opening .pdf files:
Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs

since you are asking for help without explaining that you had already adobe
reader installed, I suggest you be more polite..

I peronally prefer that adobe reader does not preview the pdf in the
browser, rather that im prompted for the download.

after you download the pdf of course you double click on it to view it.

do you like this? If so, go to (in adobe reader) Edit> preferences>
Internet> and uncheck the DISPLAY PDF IN BROWSER box

Foxit and acrobat reader is the same analogy with
XP and Vista

one is fast, the other is king of bloat

Why is he being short sighted? You didn't tell any one you had anything
installed, in fact, you still haven't told us that you have a PDF reader or
editor installed, just all of your Adobe programs. Assuming you do have one
installed, download a pdf to your PC, double click it, when it asks you what
to open it with choose "Let me find a program" then browse to it on your
hard drive, check the box that says "Always Use", the association will carry
over to your browser.

Exactly the same way you would in *any* version of Windows: by
downloading and installing the PDF reader of your choice.
