No Option to Stop Automatic Links

Normally when a user opens an attahced Excel workbook file
from another user with with automatic links, the user is
given a choice if they want to update the workbook or
not. However I have user is NOT give this choice and
proceeds to try an open every link, which are not on his
PC and he has to cancel at each "File Not Found" window.
What and where has he turned of this option to say NO!?
 
Hi Bob,

Go to Tools-->Options. On the Edit tab there is a checkbox there labelled
"Ask to Update Automatic Links. Make sure that that checkbox is checked and
is should prompt the user.

THANK YOU! I have must have looked at that screen 3 or 4
times and I never saw the setting! Thanks.
