Scoured the 'net for any help and it seems I'm not the only one who
creates a new limited account in XP Pro only to find that the "Shared
Documents" folder is the only one present under "Files stored on this
Computer" in My Computer.
So the files appear under an Administrative account, but not a limited one.
The user names contain no spaces and are under 8 characters long.
The folders are all present and correct.
And aren't Private.
The reg keys for Local_Machine\...\Explorer\DocFolderPaths are all present
and correct.
The reg key for Local_Machine\...\My Computer\NameSpace\DelegateFolders
contains the {5903...30ee} subkey.
TweakUI only shows Control Panel as an option for "Files stored on this
computer"
My Documents shows up on the Start menu as a link, under Other Places on
My Computer, and as it's own folder in the Explorer folder view.
I've done this on other XP boxes with no difficulty, the only difference
being those were ones I installed myself and this one came pre-installed.
I'm stumped, anyone got any ideas, other than <sigh> re-installation?
