No mouse after reformat

I have had the same computer since Win95 and had a lot of
old junk, so, I reformatted my harddrive, reinstalled
Windows XPHome and now my mouse doesn't work. The mouse
does work on another computer. How do I restore my
mouse?

Thanks, Sher

Go to the manufacturer's site of your mouse and look for updated drivers for
XP.

I had my daughter put it on a cd and bring it over for
me. I loaded it, but it didn't fix the problem.

I forgot to mention that it's a serial trackball mouse. I
know Microsoft doesn't support them anymore, but it was
working fine before I reformatted.

I love this mouse, it still works great, and I'm on a
limited income; I don't have the money to run out and buy
new everytime Microsoft decides that something perfectly
good is obsolete.

Doesn't anyone know how to work around this problem??
