no more IRP stack locations

I reciently purchases and put together a PC, all was good
after the installation of the windows 2000. I could
reboot and run the system. then I put in my motherboard
drivrs, video drivers, and symantec firewall. after this
I reboot the machine and then I get the no more IRP stack
locations error. what can I do to fix this, why did it
happpen and what can be done in the future to avoid the
situation???

Hello,

Are you getting this message in a blue screen (STOP) or in the System event
log?
If it is the error that I'm thinking of then you can increase your
irpstacksize by following the steps in this article:

IRPStackSize Parameter in Windows 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;285089

Default value is 15. I've seen this value get lowered after the
installation of some 3rd party software/drivers.

If it is a blue screen that you are getting then it would help us if you
could give us the exact error.
Does safe mode work? Last known good?
