no logon server

I am running win 2k advanced server with 5 XP computers. All computers can
log to domain but
with the server when i try to connect to 4 computers I get the message "no
logon server available to perform the request". On one computer and only
this one i can connect to the disk.
Anyone have a clue?
 
How are you trying to connect from the server? Are you able to ping the XP
clients by netbios name, fully qualified domain name and by IP address? Can
you do a start > run > \\IPaddress\share? Do all clients have file and
printer sharing bound to the NIC?
