No JPEG when publishing Frontpage?

I'm a newbie, working on a website. I've created a text logo using
Photoshop and saved it as a JPEG. I then inserted it, onto my webpage.
When I preview the site it's there. Once I publish online I get the
dreaded red X. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Here is the

What options did you select in PhotoShop when you saved the image?

I had the same problem this week with image that a client provided that was saved from PhotoShop. My
solution was to open the image in Windows XP: Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, then copy and paste
into MS Image Composer, then save as a JPEG image.

I have had this problem in the past as well, so if you can determine what setting you used when
saving the image, that would be great!

File\Import your jpg into the images folder first; then insert it into a
page.

looking at the properties of the image this is the URL the image is pointing to -
is this the same as below (as a subdomain or something?

http://members.tripod.com/frontpagengfiles/1.jpg

remember to import the image into your frontpage web, and be sure your web is
open, not just the page you are inserting the image on (this is becoming
increasingly a FAQ on this NG :"why are my images not showing up?".

Then publish all files.

The image is not missing, it is just not being displayed, because IE can not read the file format.

If the image file was missing, you would see a red X and properties dialog would not indicate the
image size, etc.
