no java option in IE

I am having trouble viewing pages with javascripts. All
the help I have gotten has told me to be sure that jave
is not disabled in internet tools... etc. That was the
first thing I checked. The problem is, there isn't even a
Java option to check or uncheck anywhere under "security
or advanced".
I am using XP pro and have ALL updates installed.

To have java enabled you have to do the following :
Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custome Level and
make sure java in enabled
but as you say you dont have java then go to this link

Downloads : Select Java And Technologies then install Java
for your browser
