No internet, and networks don't connect

I have two computers in different parts of the house. One was using a usb
cable modem to access the internet. We bought a wireless router system to
connect the other computer to the same access. Everything worked fine until
we tried to set up a network between the computers so we could share a
printer. The first computer still has internet and its own network. The
second computer still gets a signal from the router but has no internet. It
looks like it's on its own network. Both networks have the same name, but
each computer only sees its own name when I look at "workgroup computers."
They won't ping eachother either. Running XP Pro on both, neither have the
SP2 upgrade yet. I've looked at many posts here and they've been helpful (was
able to set second computer to browse automatically on startup - solved one
problem). But I still need more help.

Lisa,

what IP addresses do the computers have? You can find out by
opening a command line window and entering: IPCONFIG

How did you connect the router to the Internet? You want the
incoming Internet line connected to the router's WAN connection
and both computers connected to the LAN or wireless connection.

For more troubleshooting information have a look at

First computer: LAN IP address is 68.119.81.37, Nework Bridge IP address is
192.168.0.1.
Second computer: IP address is 192.168.1.100.
The wireless router is connected to both the cable modem and the first
computer by ethernet cables. The first computer is connected to the modem by
a USB cable. The second computer is connected to the router by a PCI card
with an antenna.

Lisa,

are you saying that the wireless router is connected to the
modem and the first computer is also connected to the modem?
That sounds wrong, but I'll wait until you confirm this first.

You want the modem connected to the router's WAN connection and
both computers connected to the router via LAN or wireless
connection.
