No internet after VMWare install

Hello!

I've recently installed a VMWare 4.0.5 program on my
Windows XP system. The software created a virtual network
card to be used by the virtual machines. Since the
installation of VMWare I have no internet connection from
my host computer. I can access the ethernet network, I
can ping a IP number, but not a IP name address.

What's wrong or how could I solve this problem.
