no grafics

Hello,

I recently updated to service pack 2 on my Compaq machine. Not sure of this
has anything to do with my problem or not.

When I turn it on and after it boots up my screen will go blank. It happens
about 30 seconds after it boots up..I will see the desktop then it goes blank
while the computer continues to run.

It also sounds like a virus. However, how could I go about removing it
considering my computer will only stay up for about 30 seconds before I get
the blank screen.

If anyone knows about a fix for this problem please let me know

Try to boot your system in Safe Mode, to try a System Restore.
