Hi all
Have just completed a Clean Install but am unable to locate an XP Firewall.
Would it be available without reinstalling SP2. Thanks in advance.

the windows firewall is a component of service pack 2. if you did a
clean install with a version of home that does not include it, then
you'll have to install SP2.

windows xp (pre-SP2) does include a firewall called the "Internet
Connection Firewall." i wasn't aware of this firewall until yesterday
when jupiter jones pointed it out to me and pointed me to this page on
microsoft's site:

You cannot start the Windows Firewall service in Windows XP
