"No Disk" message

I had the same problem with my PC and actually disabled
the floppy drive before finding the solution. I stumbled
across the fix when I reloaded my PC and installed a
CODEC for movie viewing, after installing this my floppy
problem returned. Remove any CODECs if you have recently
installed any and it should fix the problem. If this isnt
the case uninstall any program that was recently
installed or you can just put a blank disk in the drive
and forget about it.

Jeff, is that the error message you are getting? And you don't have a
Floppy Drive on your Computer? Go into the Bios
and disable the Floppy Drive Controller and floppy drive seek.

Until you do, Start > Run msconfig <enter> Look through the "Startup"
tab and disable anything that looks like it doesn't belong. There are
various websites that can help you decide what a particular application
is, if you can't figure it out by looking at its name or the name of the
folder in which it is located. See e.g., the "Task List" at
