How do I convert a report to two columns (I.E. The same fields across the
page twice but instead of using twice as much paper (4 times if duplex
printing)

Use the File - Page Setup menu item to specify your columns.

You might want to uncheck the Same As Detail box and specify
the column width yourself. This allows you to make the
report and page header/footer sections as wide as the page.
