No Bridge.dll on start of XP

I get the message no Bridge.dll file and searched for
this file on my computer and it not there is this a
windows XP file?

Hi

bridge.dll is part of some spyware - have a look here:

http://www.pestpatrol.com/PestInfo/w/winfavorites_bridge.asp - also havea look in msconfig>startup to see if the file is referenced there. If so, uncheck it and then reboot your system.

Try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your system:

Hi Fiebiger,

It looks like some adware/spyware files were removed/deleted, but the
registry still retains the references to run those files. D/load HiJack This
from here:
http://tomcoyote.com/hjt/
Create a new folder on your Desktop and call it HJT. Now, unzip the
hijackthis.exe file from the zipped archive that you d/loaded into the HJT
folder. Ensure that all browser windows are closed, and then run
hijackthis.exe, opting to Scan. When the Scan is complete, scroll thru the
Scan results field, looking for an entry that will look something like the
following:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe
"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\BRIDGE.DLL",Load

Click to place a checkmark in the checkbox beside the above entry, then
click on Fix.
Restart your computer.
