No Backup tab in Accessories/System Tools

I want to purchase WebTrend's Pinicillin's Antivirus and need to backup my
system first. In Accessories/System Tools there is no Backup in my PC. Used
Help and Support and in the instr.'s video, the Wizard's first page
explanation is different from my Files and Setting Transfer Wizard (FSTW).
Is TSTW be the same as
the supposed Backup?
Also, my FSTW does not have a CD Rom setting to save the Backup into, it
only has the A: and E: drives.
TY for your time.

NTBackup is not installed with XP Home, but it's on the XP CD. Unless you
have an OEM CD. In that case read on.

You can download NTBackup here:

ntbackup.exe does not allow backing up directly to CD.

From X:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP\README.TXT

2. Backup to CDRW

If you decide to backup to a CDRW, you cannot target that device directly.
You must create a backup set of 650MB or less and backup to a file. After
the file is complete, copy the file to the CDRW.]]

Hey Wes,
I cleaned lots of stuff and Defraged, and now started to backup in Iomega's
100mb in no time was full, and had 4 hrs... to go. Stopped and saved in A:,
well it was up to 8 days and ... min. and still going. Is that right?
How many A: cassettes can it take for a normal backup?
Do you have any ideas, and should I really backup before I buy/install
WebTrends?
Now I know why you wrote "Have fun". Also, was it ok to close/stop backup
while it was still going on?
Jezzz, I made times hard for me now with that WebTrend wanting!!!
Thanks again
Bebb

Hi Bebb,

I only ever used NTBackup once a couple of years ago and I do not have a
tape drive.

Hi again Wesley,

Well I did not backup my system and purchased the PC-cilin and my system did
not crash. I was up to 8 days and min. still counting to Backup my system
when I decided to think like you. The program works wonders and, my opinion
here, much better than Norton's. Knock on wood now that I said that.
Thanks for your time in helping me with this issue I had. Thanks to
everyone too.
Gratefully,
Bebb
