No automatic restore points in Vista Home Premium

Hello,

I've noticed that my Vista OS is not creating automatic daily restore
points. The only time they are created is if software is installed or
uninstalled, and that isn't always a given. They also will disappear
ocassionally for no reason, as my hard drive still has plenty of space. I
checked and the task manager service is running but I could find no "system
restore" service. I read in a newsgroup that it should be running (in XP,
at least.). Should I have a service listed that reads "System Restore"?
Does anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

Thanks!

Only had that issue when I was dual booting XP and Vista. XP's restore would
delete the Vista restore points. I just turned off system restore completely
to solve it. I use Acronis True Image so don't really need system restore.
