No Audio

I have my vcr plugged into my tower properly using composite I cna see the
vhs video inthe preview screen but no sound as happening..in other words the
video part os being captured but the audio from the vcr is blocked..also the
slide volume control is stuck on the wmm set-up screen

MM is not designed for analogue capture, so often doesn't work.
For more help in trying give us details of the pc, the analogue capture
device, the leads you are using, where they are plugged in, what settings
you have chosen, settings in volume control, or

you could use the software which came with the capture device.
