No audio in WM Player 11 for WMV

Hey guys,

For some reason Windows Media Player 11 won't play audio for WMV and I have tried re-installing it and still no joy!
I am using the Testout software and it plays WMV and all of a sudden the sound has stopped. I appreciate that it is likely that it is software that I have installed but trying to roll back the system hasn't helped either and trying to play the video in media player itself doesn't work.

Anyone any ideas?
 
I figured out the problem...

..it resided in the registry!

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\NodeCLSIDs\{95037DA1-6ED9-4B27-8CFF-9AD3DFB0B2F2}]

And I had to change the AutoInsert value from 1 to 0...

"AutoInsert"=dword:00000000

Before the fix it was "AutoInsert"=dword:00000001

Just thought I'd let you know in case anyone else was experiencing any trouble.
