No Attachment known.

Does anyone know why there would be a paperclip next to a mail. There was no
attachment added, but a paperclip... If you right click you can see that
there is no option for "view attachemnt", where as an email with an
attachment will let you.
Could this just be simply a way to show that the orginal email has been
responded to before. Also, I have seen (we were just on Groupwise) that
Apple's email "Mail" program sometimes sent me a bogus (probably not really
bogus) attachment in the past.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Sometimes a sender's signature can have a paperclip, appearing to be an
attachment. A .vcf (virtual business card) will be considered an attachment.
It doesn't necessarily mean that there is an attached Excel or Word file, for
example.

Good thinking... I would think that would still show up once the email is
opened? I did change to from HTML/RTF/Plain... not sure wich order though?
Thanks!

Stationery will also often show as an attachment.
I use HTML personally, most clients can read it. I discourage my users from
RTF because that is a format specific to Outlook and non-Outlook clients have
difficulty with it (especially when attachments are involved).
