No Add Scheduled Task Icon

When you open Scheduled Task under System Tools in Windows XP Pro, there
should be an icon there for Add Scheduled Task. That is missing for one user
and you can't right click to select Add Scheduled Task either. The user is
set as local Admin. I am a network admin and even if I login to the computer
I don't get that option. If I login using the Adminitrator login, I still
don't have the icon. I have never seen this one before. Anyone have any
ideas?

Terry

Just out of curiosity, do you see Add Scheduled Task if you type: tasks
into Start | Run?

Hi Ramesh,

I looked for this yesterday and couldn't find it. Wrong key word I guess.

[[Help/Explain Text: Prevents users from creating new tasks. This setting
*removes* the Add Scheduled Task item that starts the New Task Wizard. Also,
the system does not respond when users try to move, paste, or drag programs
or documents into the Scheduled Tasks folder. Note: This setting appears in
the Computer Configuration and User Configuration folders. If both settings
are configured, the setting in Computer Configuration takes precedence over
the setting in User Configuration. Important: This setting does not prevent
administrators of a computer from using At.exe to create new tasks or
prevent administrators from submitting tasks from remote computers.

Hi Wes,

I accidentally came across that setting in GPEdit. MS-KB does not address
that "per-user" part.

Hi Ramesh,

I am surprised at the number of things that I find while looking for
something else.

And I don't just mean computer stuff. ;-)
