No AD users and computer list at the workstation

Hi all,
I have computer with OS XP that work in the domain, but
when i am trying to add a domain user to the power admin
or administrator local groups on the local computer (for
permission purpose), i can not see the AD users and
computer list of the domain from the workstation?
any help will help

Make sure your workstation is using your domain
controller's IP address for its DNS server.

Does that fix the problem?
