NLA kept server from booting

How could this be? we had a 2003 server go off the air last night fo 5 hours
and my boss is demanding an answer. the server would hang at "applying
computer settings" The oncall tech disabled IPSEC and NLA to get the server
up Per some newsgroup postings. the IPsec was reenabled and with NLA service
set to disabled, the server came up perfectly.

Everyone seems to harp on DNS configuration and mine is set properly
according to
dnslint.


Please give me a hand...

Now that you know what NLA is, find out why it failed. Did the server fail
to get a DHCP address? Do the event logs record anything that sheds light
on why the service would hang?
