NK2 File in Outlook 2007 (Vista)

Copied the old Outlook.nk2 file to the
\users\myname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook directory in Vista/Outlook 2007
- but Outlook will not recognize it? Open outlook and start new email - and
none of the names are there.

Any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean "named after"? The file just has a generic name of
Outlook.nk2

I had to create a new user in Vista and this is why i am having to copy this
old backup copy of my NK2 file into new profile i set up. This is the
directory is should be in correct? And Vista/Outlook 2007 still use the same
name Outlook.nk2 as before?

It is not a "generic name". If your mail profile is called "Outlook", your
nk2-file is called outlook.nk2. If you named your mail profile "Maslan" then
your nk2-file is called maslan.nk2. See the link I provided to look up the
name of your mail profile.

Wrong directory. Put it in ...\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook
