Nikon SuperCoolscan LS-2000 Scanner not working with XP

I recently was given this scanner to scan some old slides.
realized that the Firmware 1.3.1 for the LS-2000 doesn't support XP
Do you know if there is any work around for this problem. It i
hooked up to my computer through a scsi card. Any suggestions woul
be great. thank

Current Software Versions: Nikon Scan is near the bottom of page (get the
SCSI version).

i think you will require the ASPI software installed in XP. Go to
adaptec.com and get the latest version, install, and run ASPICHK to
verify everything is ok.

A quick way to test, even if NS won't work is to download a trial of
Vuescan and try it. Then at least you know the hardware is working and
you can fight with NS if needed.

Go to Adaptec's web site and get the ASPI package and
install it.

You need Nikon Scan ver. 3.1.2 it is the only one that will work. You
also need Adaptec's ASPI driver installed per instructions. Did this
last year.
