Nikon LS 5000 question

Hi

I'd like to move my scanner a bit further away from the PC, but the USB
cable it came with is only 1m long so I can't - I need 3m. Will any USB
2.0 cable do (such as a Belkin Gold), or are there some stricter
requirements than that?

Try it and see.
The maximum length is determined by the signal loss. It works until it can
no longer work.

There are cables available up to 15 Feet or about 4.5 Meters.
