Hello

I use a program called Nicknames to try to keep a handle on the automatic
fill-in address function of Outlook but I haven't got enough options.

The problem is that I have about twenty 'mailing lists' (student classes)
and when I send an email to a say 'Class A', all the names of the students
get entered into Outlook's nickname system.

Within a day, when I want to write to a friend, tens of possible names come
up.

So I have to empty all the nicknames and the same thing then starts all over
again.

Any trick or workarounds here please?

Thanks in advance

Are you sure this is an Outlook issue?
Outlook stores DL's as separately in the nickname cache. I cannot reproduce
your finding.
Explain what "Nickname" does and how it works.

Hello

Nickname simply lets you erase nicknames that you don't often use to stop
them coming up all the time.

The problems is that it erases 'one at a time' or all and I want some other
options like 'erase only nicknames that originate from groups' or nicknames
related to a certain server (in my case the school)

It also doesn't have an alphabetic display and I assume the nicknames are
stored in order of use.

Funny you should ask about it as I thought it was a Microsoft product.

Anyway, anything better out there or a programmer who fancies having a go?

Regards
