nForce Drivers

I have had a ASUS A7N8X non-deluxe for about 7 months now. I have the
same motherboard drivers that came with the board which are Asus ver.
1.16. Are these the latest? I have checked the web site and can find
none later. Nvidias site appears to have a lot later versions. Are
there any reasons to use theres over what I have now? Have not had
any problems at all. Running a 2100+ at 2700+, rock solid. Do not
use the onboard sound as I have a Audigy Platinum.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I used the new drivers but found them to be a bit buggy, so i went back to
the ones that came with the motherboard. Like you, i have had no problems
with them.

Did you know that the on-board sound is better than the Audigy? Your
on-board sound can encode Dolby5.1, your Audigy can't.

I use the new nVidia 3.13 drivers. I have posted several times regarding the
drivers, I have found this set of drivers to be the most reliable of all the
ones I have had. I have used the 1.16 set (the ones you use), the 2.45 from
nVidia, the Mwarhead 2.45 reMix drivers and now the 3.13 set. I always
update to the latest drivers though when they come out, so I am not a great
guide, but I have had no problems with this set, I cannot say that about any
other set I've used.

Maybe the newer drivers work better with the Rev.2 boards, and if you have a
older board the older drivers work better. Dunno
