Nforce 2 onboard audio problem

I have a Soltek SL-75FRN2 Nforce 2 motherboard, and at louder volume levels
the onboard sound gives a high pitched humming. I didn't really notice when
it was just my speakers, but I bought some nice headphones and this is kind
of annoying. The noise goes away however when I start playing an MP3 or do
some gaming. I have the latest drivers and BIOS revision.

Anyone know how to fix this?

You could try muting unused inputs and if you're using any analog
cables (like from optical drives), don't, or at least use shielded
ones.

Sometimes it's noise from the video card, if you had another you might
swap it in for a test, or move around the PCI cards.
