Next Generation MS Office

My local 'Best Buy', 'Office Max', and 'Office Depot' have all removed MS
Office 2003 from their shelves. The space is still reserved for them, but
all boxes/order-slips have been removed.

Do they know something? Is the next version due out?

Perhaps someone in the know can advise me (somehow without violating NDA)
when I can go get an upgrade from my current Office 2000 Pro.

There is no new version of Office available, or even in beta that I know of.
Office 2003 is the latest version - your computer stores are just out of
stock, it seems.

Thanks.

It just seemed funny that all three would run out during the same week, when
they had some on the shelf the week before (first week of January).

Oh well, guess I'll go ahead and purchase the 2003 upgrade when I can find
it. :)

Hmmm - can't say. Gremlins? A vast conspiracy of new-as-of-Christmas PC
owners who thought Office came with Windows?

Yep. It's good stuff.
