News button

[Wasted]

Hi - with Outlook 2007/Windows Vista I have added the News button to give
quick access to my newsreader, but it defaults to Windows Mail. I use the
latest version of Windows Live Mail (desktop as it was called).

Is there any way to change the button to open the reader I use, or if not,
to create a new button altogether that will do what I want?

No. It seems that Outlook 2007 is hard-wired to WM....

If "hard-wired" what happens when one moves to Windows 7 which does not
have a mail component?

It /may/ just be a Vista thing - I can't remember if it happens on XP....

Thanks Dianne - I had realised that I could just use conventional shortcuts
on quick/launch or start menu, but wanted something within Outlook itself -
could you possibly point me in the direction of how to set up a hyperlinked
button?
