I am seeking a freeware package which will allow you to post to

You can do that with the MS Outlook Express you are using now. You will
have to be subscribed to the newsgroups you want to post to. Just
please don't use this feature to spam the hell out of us as some have
been doing lately.

Amen to that. I keep forgetting to check how many NGs a post I'm replying
to is cross posted in. I hate when that happens.

Some news clients alert you to that. I think it's a nice feature.

Yeah, I'm using knode under Linux and it alerts me. OE didn't and you're
right it's a great feature.
