Newest beta fixes

I thought it was a good product except for the negative
impact on system performance I experienced. Before I
download a copy of the newest beta, has the issue of
performance degradation been addressed? I was unable to
find on any MS sites the release notes that contained the
specific fixes made.
System: Microsoft Windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service pack 4
Processor: AMD Athlon XP1800+ 1533 MHz
Memory: 1023MB
Main board: VT8366-8233

They state that there have been performance fixes in the text on the
download page.

Please give it a try and let us know whether it fixes your particular issue.

When you run File, Update on completion the message posted does not make
clear the outcome. The only way to check is to click on Help, About
Microsoft Antispyware! Also I thought Definitions were to be updated
daily. I am still on 5691.

I have yet to have MSAS detect anything!

Not having it detect anything is GOOD!

Definitions have actually been updated fairly infrequently--often as much as
a week apart.

I don't know the source of the error message you are seeing--If you have to
run that command manually, something hasn't gone right about the
installation procedure, but I don't have a handle on how to fix it
permanently at this point.
