newbie question about AIW 9700

Well...I'll answer it this way. Yes, the AIW 9700 is backward compatible
with the 4X spec.
 
Thank you. Eventually, I'll upgrade my mobo setup, but at least I don't
have to in order to use the 9700.

I appreciate your help.
