new word document opens with previous work

maybe I have created a template or done something crazy; every new word
document opens with the same page of work. also every new outlook message ahs
the identical page. I have to delete before writing.

You're talking about a 'template' file. the default template is
'Normal.DOT', but there could be others chosen in your options for that. You
need to read the help on templates.

Save this Word as a "document."

Search for Normal.DOT (include Hidden files / folder & System Folders)

Locate the Normal.DOT in your user "access" account and rename it.

Word should recreate this document template whenever it does not find
it.
