New windows opening in half pane

Anytime I click a link that opens a new window of internet explorer the
window opens as 1/3 window horizontally. It is very annoying. It didn't
used to do this. I think my GF may have done something and I don't know how
to get it back to opening as full screeen.

Open IE. Stretch it to the size you want. Close it. Open it again.

Close all but one open Internet Explorer window. Use your mouse (not the maximize button) to resize it to as close to maximized as you can get it, or to the desired size. Then use File, Close to close the window. Internet Explorer remembers the size of the last closed, non-maximized window.
 
Actually when I open a new window it opens full, it is just when I am on a
web site and click a link that opens a new window or right click and open in
a new window does it open in 1/3 window pane format.

It is very annoying.
 
Close the main window and leave open ONLY the 1/3 sized window, STRETCH
the 1/3 sized window to the desired size, and close it.
