New Window Not Maximized

Alright. So this problem seems to be occuring to too many people. I'm not
even sure when it started happening on my machine. Did an update we installed
create this annoyance? It would seem that way. What is the true fix? I've
seen the pseudo fix of dragging corners, but that does not give you a truley
maximized window. True? Closing maximized windows with "File--->Close" does
not fix it either. It may sound petty but we want our maximized windows back.
Someone must know how to cure this? HELP!! ;-)

So you drag the 4 sides of the window to max,and thats not maximized !!!
How much farther do you think one could go then....

It's called windows for a reason. It has windows. Well designed apps won't start maximised.

You maximize the window using the button in the upper right corner, then
hold down the shift key when you close the window using the X in the upper
right corner.
