New version

Movie maker is quite old now. Is it too much to hope that there is a new
version in production - that supports Media Center's .DVR-MS format? And lets
me cut out adverts? Any ideas on whether this is so, and when it may be
available?
 
Don't suppose there are any answers around? Like when? Like can it be
downloaded and installed on my XP MCE 2005? Like will it support .dvr-ms
files?
 
Like is the save to dv-avi bugs corrected?
