Hello,

I just upgraded the motherboard and cpu on my computer (core2Duo). I also
imaged the contents of my old harddrive to a new one(500g) - Windows XP sp2
(version2002). Everything appears fine, VS6 runs fine, VS2003 runs fine,
but VS2005 won't load new projects. I can load old projects or if I create a
project in VB2003 and then upgrade it to VB2005 then the project will load.
But I can't run VB2005 apps I created from the workplace on this computer,
and if I create a new project - it won't load or even initialize.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or do I need to get another
harddrive and just re-install windows XP from scratch?

Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich

Hello again,

So I re-installed VS2005, but that did not help. One other thing I tried
was to add one of my new projects to a project (an older project) that would
open/load. I make a reference to the new project from the old project, and
now I can open a form from the new project.

How come I can't open the new project by itself? Is it a registry thing?
