Good day,
I'm trying to figure out how to attach a picture without
making it part of the e-mail. I'd like for it to be an
attachment where you'd have to click on the attachment
icon in order to open it. You see I've been sending alot
of photos out and the pictures are so big and end up right
after my signature on the e-mail. I've gotten alot of
complaints already and I'd like to know if there's a way
to make it stop doing that. This is my first time using
Outlook Express and I'm getting very exasperated. It
doesn't have nearly all the cool stuff regular Outlook
had. :(
Thank you very much for your time and help.

I went thru the same thing when sending pics to my
sisters, it was eating up so much space. I've been told
it has to do with the camera settings. There are favored
settings when TAKING the photo that make it smaller to
email. Your camera instructions will say what settings to
apply when taking the pic if you plan to email it. Good
luck. :)

Thought of something else---once you've taken the photo
with your new settings you can download them in to a
folder or file then go in to your documents to attach them
to an email that way. Happy picture taking... :)

Hi -

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
Outlook Express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac for OE for Macintosh

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

A good website for information on OE is:
http://www.tomsterdam.com/
