new toshiba lap top freezes

bought this new laptop,it has the defective vista installed..it freezes when
on the internet..click on a link and it will freeze,remove all power to
reboot..at toshiba.i see a lot of prople haveing this problem and there is a
flash bios fix.that didnt fix the problem.i am thinking it is vista.i
downloaded sp1..no freeze yet.i will surf and see..xp pro.might be the
answer.any input will be apreciated..cant learn if you dont ask...

Contact Toshiba and have them fix the problem under warranty.

Warning, Toshiba service sucks. I got office depot to take back the Toshiba
Satellite 205D I had for about a month and give me an HP instead. I had a
lemon and Toshiba refused to overnight me a replacement computer or do
anything helpful. I'm still waiting for a call back from a service manager
btw - have had the HP now for 3 months. The Toshiba gave me BSOD every hour
or more, locked up repeatedly, and did the exact same thing after a trip to
their authorized service center when it was supposedly "fixed" with a new
hard drive and new Ram. They offered to repair it at Toshiba's own service
center - though refused to overnight it back to me or give me any idea of
how long it would be gone. Really bad if you want a computer for business
use as I did! I will never buy anything Toshiba again.

Skip the lower level service tech and talk to a service manager as early as
you can.

You're a known Vista hater. Best you switch to XP unless you're just a
troll looking for trouble.
Then you've come to the right place...LOL!

i down loaded all the up dates that has come out since this post like sp1 and
the lap top has not froze since..but i am giveing it more time.before i
say.it must of been the vista..i see all the pain..that every one is going
though..dealing with vista.and i cant help.thinking..and wondering,how come
bill gates.is geting away.with this so far.i think he should have to give
every one a free copy of win xp pro,untill he can develope a new os,that is
right and not defective.hey they recall cars.vista cost a lot less then a
car..
