So far this upgrade has been a very large Hemorhoid.(as you can see spell
check does not work)
In XP no matter what program I was in if I miss spelled a word it would
underline it in RED. By right clicking on it, it would offer correct
spellingd. Is there a way to install that in Vista?

If you're using Windows Mail, go to Tools > Options from the ALT menu. There
should be a tab labeled "Spelling". Check the box to check spelling before
sending. Also, there is always the "ABC" icon with the red check mark on
the toolbar. It also invokes a spellcheck on the message.

In order to install spell checking in Outlook Express, you must install MS
Office. It is Office that does the spell checking.

Not quite. Three points:

1. There is no Outlook Express in Windows Vista. Its replacement is
called Windows Mail.

2. Just a component of Microsoft Office is fine--for example Word. The
entire Office suite isn't required.

3. The spell checking in a Microsoft Office component is only one of
the ways to get spell checking in Outlook Express/Windows mail. There
are many third-party programs that can be used to provide the spell
checking.

Windows Mail comes with its own spell check component.
You don't need Word, Outlook, or a third-party program
anymore.

Haemorrhoid

Gary Mount,

Haemorrhoid is the correct spelling if you live in the United Kingdom,
England or Great Britain, whichever terminology you choose. However, the
correct spelling of the word in America is hemorrhoid. The same applies to
color/colour, favor/favour, etc, etc, etc.

Have a nice day.
