New Telephone Number Field

I would like to add a field for storing contacts voice mail telephone
numbers. With all the phone number fields that already exist, I'm surprised
that isn't one of them. As far as I can tell, I can't change the field title
so I would like to create a new one. I would like that field to show up in
the form that pops up when I add a new contact. Furthermore, I'd like it to
be one of the fields that I can choose from when entering phone numbers. I'd
also like it to be formatted the same way the other phone number fields are.
Am I out of luck or is this possible?

Please let me know if there are other solutions I should consider.
 
try this - go to your contacts folder - add new contact - select all fields
(far right tab) and create a user-defined field

I haven't actually done this before, but it could be worth a try. Let us
know how you go
