Guest

I have to review our existing Domain Password Policy and
Implement a new settings based on our new company Policy:
Existing settings:
Enforce Password history =3
Maximum password age =0
Minimun password age=0

Our company then wants to implement a Policy in which
users will have 90 days password age and wil prompt for
an expire password message on 91 days. What will be the
settings? Please help

Maximum password age =?
Minimun password age=?
Is there any expected problem if ever.
Thanks

If you want a 90 days password age then Maximum password age will be 90.

However, I don't understand what is meant by "prompt for an expire password
message on 91 days". How is it going to be 91 days? Usually you will have
your users prompted for password change few days before expiration.

I would suggest you read this article and decide for yourself. The
article talks about maintaining a balance between good solid security
and yet not completely inconvenience users and helpdesk staff.
