New notebook

Hi,
This is the first time I have done this, so it probably won't get where I
want it to go, but here goes nothing!!!

I just bought a Asus M50 series notebook. The specs are: Duo T9300
(2.5GHz), 2GB RAM, 250GB SATA drive, DVD-RW with Litescribe, Bluetooth,
Wi-Fi (a,b,g & n), Gig LAN, Vista Ultimate, SD reader and all the usual
suspects (e-SATA, HDMI, F/W, 4 USB (one shared with the e-SATA port), RGB,
Bag, Mouse, Altec Lansing speakers, GeForce 9500M graphics, Dolby sound,
Fingerprint reader and heaps of multimedia controls that are located on the
touchpad (yet to work these out!!).

I got it for $1700ex-GST. Is this a good buy is my first question.

Also, it has a computer base rating of 4.8. I have never used Vista before
so am still working things out, but it seems to be nice and easy to use
(although I wish things like save as, print, etc., were in the same spot but
I am getting used to it!!!

Anyway, does this seem an OK machine to use as my desktop replacement at
work? And I am thinking of setting up a XP dual boot situation, with a
250GB does this seem reasonab le??

Thanks for reading my ramblings.

Cheers,

Nick

Congratulations... but you're asking in the wrong place. This is not a
hardware-specs newsgroup, it's a technical support newsgroup for Microsoft
Access databases. Please find a more appropriate forum.
